is paying homage to the days of riot grrrl in what I call east-coast style: fun, jittery and raw. I ask the viewer to peep into the box–into my memory of Lucky7, a drag king in the early days of the Philadelphia drag kingcircuit. In this video, she is tucking her shirt in, putting a tie on and finally taking a swig of vodka. During the transfer process, I stop on certain gestures, rewind and replay certain gestures and slow down others. The result creates a memory-like experience of an ambiguous figure.
